Rebuild Your Pelvic Floor Health

Do you pee when you sneeze?  Experience back pain, frequent UTIs, or have to get up in the middle of the night to pee?  Think you have a small bladder? Whether you experience one or all of these, they are all related to your pelvic floor health. 

Some research shows that every year after the age of 35, women lose 2% of their pelvic floor muscle strength due to aging and hormones.  If at 35, we’re leaking, what will it be like at 65?

I think it’s important that we talk about rebuilding your pelvic health, especially after having babies.  It wasn’t until after having my third child that I clued into the significance of my pelvic floor and that I needed to strengthen my pelvic floor muscles. 

My special guest is Christina Walsh. She is a published researcher, a Physical Therapist, and the cofounder of Tighten Your Tinkler with Jenn Lormand.

Christina shares the main problems or concerns you can experience in your pelvic floor health.  This includes peeing when you sneeze, urinary leakage, or needing to go to the bathroom many times thinking it’s because you have a small bladder. Some women may experience rectal prolapse, diastasis recti, back pain, urinary tract infections, painful intimacy, and painful periods. (minute 3:07)
